About Us
History
SFM Group was founded by Larry and Jennifer Richert. Their roots in continuous improvement and lean began at a medical device manufacturer near Kalamazoo, Michigan in the late 1980’s where they were introduced to shop floor management.
Through trial and error, they learned how to utilize CI/Lean applications both in-house and with suppliers. Eventually, they launched out to assist organizations in their continuous improvement journeys. Together, they have served a variety of manufacturing industries as well as service, medical, banking, and non-profit organizations.
Today, Larry and Jen are joined by their three sons to operate SFM Group in Ludington, Michigan. As the company has continued to grow and change over the years, their mission remains the same: helping businesses achieve operational excellence and sustainability.
